Fifth Grade Masterpiece
Metal Repousse
Metal Repousse, the process of pushing and pressing sheet metal, has been used as far back as ancient Egypt. In connection with their studies of Egyptian history, 5th graders each drew a design into sheet metal, creating an amazing 3D design. The metal squares were tiled together, framed, and then signed (on the back of the frame). What a special keepsake from their final year at Bates!
